Sample Itinerary below, all meals are served thought the day.

Day 1 – Check in at Dive shop between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. -Vessel departure at 6 p.m. from Cairns Marina

Day 2 – 4 dives + night dive

Day 3 – 4 dives + night dive

Day 4 – 4 dives + BBQ dinner

Day 5 – 2 dives + night dive + Lizard Island

Day 6 – 4 dives + night dive

Day 7 – 4 dives + cruise overnight back to Cairns

Day 8 – disembark vessel at 8 a.m.

Premium cabin: $ 5578 (ensuite, 1 X double bed, ocean view)

Standard twin cabin: $ 5124 (ensuite, 2 x single beds, ocean view)

Club twin cabin: $ 4476 (ensuite, 2 x single beds)

Budget twin bunk: $ 3815 (shared bathroom, 2 x single beds)

Location: Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef.

Trip Highlights

  • Shark Diving: Watch a controlled shark feed with 10-30 grey reef, white-tip reef, silver tip sharks at Osprey Reef.
  • Holmes Reef, Coral Sea – dozens of sharks, spectacular Nonki Bommie covered in soft corals.
  • Bougainville Reef, Coral Sea – Dungeons & Dragons labyrinth of caves & caverns, giant potato cod, big fish at Crystal Plateau.
  • Osprey Reef, Coral Sea – 2-3 shark attraction dives. spectacular topography, sheer walls, soft and hard corals.  Big fish action in 40 metre visibility.
  • Lizard Island – enjoy an hour or two exploring beautiful Lizard Island – white sand beaches and a short hike to Chinaman’s Ridge.
  • Ribbon Reefs, Great Barrier Reef – a prized region with excellent fish & coral biodiversity.
  • Cod Hole – Swim with diver size potato cod.
  • Dive the GBR – Joani’s Joy, Clam Beds, Lighthouse Bommie, Pixie Pinnacle, Goggle Gardens, Flare Point, Trolly Shoals, Steve’s Bommie.

Recommended dive level experience: Novice to advanced divers. It is best suited to the adventurous diver. Tour can accommodate one or two less experienced divers. This may mean sitting out the odd dive if conditions are beyond your ability.

This fabulous 450 mile expedition combines adventure diving in the Coral Sea with superb Great Barrier Reef marine biodiversity. You begin by swimming with diver size fish at the world famous Cod Hole. Overnight you venture out to the crystal clear waters and plummeting walls in the Coral Sea. Witness the exciting shark feed, you can photograph these sleek high order predators at close-range or not so close! Halfway, at Lizard Island some guests may join or depart the expedition. The second half of this expedition explores the best Ribbon Reef sites between the Cod Hole and Cooktown including the Acropolis, Steve’s Bommie, Lighthouse Bommie, the Cod Wall and Flare Point. Here, you see the best concentrations of pristine corals, colorful tropical fish and rare critters. Macro fauna includes the lacy scorpionfish, leaf scorpionfish, pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs and ghost pipefish. While larger marine life includes schools of trevally, barracudas, sea snakes, sharks and resident turtles.
